How GravityBoard syncs to Gravity Forms

    Estimated reading: 2 minutes

    Updated on April 23, 2026

This article explains how changes you make in GravityBoard reflect in Gravity Forms.

Each card on a board represents a Gravity Forms entry. Board lanes are mapped to a Select or Radio Buttons field on your form. Card assignees and attachments are not handled by Gravity Forms and are features unique to GravityBoard. However, this data can still be viewed inside Gravity Forms and exported together with your entry data (see below).

Making changes to cards and lanes #

GravityBoard automatically syncs all changes you make back to Gravity Forms (and vice versa). For example, if you update a card from your board, the corresponding form entry in Gravity Forms will also be updated. And if you add a new lane to a board, the source field in Gravity Forms will be updated to reflect the new value.

Adding notes to individual cards #

Card activity (i.e., notes and mentions) are handled via the Gravity Forms Entry Notes feature. Therefore, you can see this information (under “Notes”) when you view en entry inside Gravity Forms.

Two notes added to an entry; for each note you can see the name and email of the user who added it, along with the message.

    Card assignees and attachments #

Assignees and attachments are not standard Gravity Forms features—they are unique to GravityBoard. However, they are still associated with Gravity Forms entries and you can view this information inside Gravity Forms.

For example, attachments are added to each entry under “GravityBoard Attachments”.

A list of GravityBoard attachments added to an entry. There is only one attachment called assets.pdf and it is a link. Next to the name, there is an option to delete it.

You can also add GravityBoard attachments and card assignees as custom table columns on the Gravity Forms Entries page. To do this, click on the cog icon at the top right of the table and drag the column names from “Inactive” to “Active”.

A modal titled 'Select Entry Table Columns'; here there are two lists of field name: 'Active Columns' and 'Inactive Columns'. The GravityBoard Attachments and GravityBoard Card Assignee fields are in the Inactive Columns list and are highlighted

Now this informtion will be viewable directly from the Gravity Forms entry table inside the WordPress admin dashboard.

The Gravity Forms entry table. The GravityBoard Assignees and GravityBoard Attachments columns are highlighted

Exporting data from Gravity Forms #

Gravity Forms enables you to export entries from a form to a CSV file. All GravityBoard-related information, including card assignees, attachments and notes can also be exported together with your entry data by including these fields in the export file.
